September 2010 - 24 divers from Sea Fun Divers, Thailand chose a popular fishing site, Banana Bay, Racha Noi as the cleanup event location. Roger Chubb said, “''We carried out two clean up dives either side of lunch and collected an enormous amount of debris, mostly comprising plastic bottles, other plastic items, glass bottles, fishing nets, boat engine parts, batteries, tyres etc.''

Sea Fun conducted the cleanups in support of Project AWARE, but on a local level there was the need to get a message across. ''We must educate everybody about taking far more care of the fragile underwater world. That way, everybody benefits,'' said Chubb.
